Introducing the Mira Advance 9.8kw standard shower. See? It is at once ‘standard’ and ‘advanced’. Great isn’t it? Seriously though, it is a cracking piece of kit. Let’s just take a closer look at some of the features. The main feature of the Mira Advance 9.8kw Standard Shower (just rolls of your tongue doesn’t it?) is that it is thermostatically controlled. Now a thermostat is a standard feature when you look at electric showers over £300, but at this end of the market it is not always there. And you need it. It will recognise if the temperature rises above a level that you have programmed in – if it does it turns itself off. So if your kids are fiddling with it they won’t get burned. Which is a good thing. If you (like me) can’t see without your specs and you accidentally turn the dial… you won’t get burned. Probably why it won the BEAB CARE mark for safety – which is a big deal.

It has a few other handy features too – audible beeps for temperature and power flow (again, great for the speckies), 4 different spray modes on the showerhead and it has been awarded Best in Class Limescale Resistance. That’s the sort of technology you need in your shower. You don’t need a built in CD player, massaging arm, telescopic nozzle… Forget it; it’s just a shower, well just a shower that works seamlessly.
